It’s not every day that you celebrate your 20th anniversary, so let’s all get ready for the Festival des Antipodes!

Luis Gerardo Méndez Joins Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Banks in 'Charlie's Angels' (Exclusive)

Banks is directing the latest adventures of the Townsend Agency detectives.

Continuing his English-language hot streak, Mexican star Luis Gerardo Méndez has nabbed a key role in Sony’s new Charlie’s Angels movie.

Méndez joins Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Banks, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska and Patrick Stewart on the call sheet for the project, which Banks is directing.

The new story takes the female-fronted detective-agency premise of the original 1976-81 TV series and 2000 and 2003 movies global, with the Townsend Agency now a security and intelligence service that has teams around the world. The film will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.....

The producers are John DeLuca, p.g.a., Rob Marshall, p.g.a. and Marc Platt, p.g.a. with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer. The music score is by Marc Shaiman and the film features all new original songs with music by Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman.
The film also stars Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks; Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen; Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and introducing Joel Dawson as the Banks’ children, with Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins; and Meryl Streep as Mary’s eccentric cousin, Topsy. Angela Lansbury appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes, Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.

New Line is rebooting the 1993 comedy that starred Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and Ann-Margret.

Get ready for a new brand of grumpy.

Eddie Murphy is in talks to star in a remake of Grumpy Old Men that Tim Story, the helmer of theRide Along movies, will direct for New Line, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. 

Murphy would play one of the feuding seniors made famous by Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in the 1993 comedy about a lifelong battle between two neighbors that only gets worse when a new female neighbor (played by Ann-Margret) moves across the street........

Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

Director DJ Caruso recently confirmed that Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone will be seen in the next installment of the xXx franchise.

Deepika Padukone, who made her Hollywood debut with the Vin Diesel starrer xXx: Return of Xander Cage, will return to the franchise for its fourth instalment, according to its director DJ Caruso.

Caruso, on Twitter, welcomed Chinese singer-actor Roy Wang to the xXx family on Monday.

A social media user then asked: “What about Deepika Padukone. Will she be part of the film?”

“Yes,” replied Caruso, thereby confirming that the popular actor will be back in the action-packed franchise........
